Fixed Windows
There are two types of fixed windows: Fixed Casement and Fixed Picture. Fixed casement matches the look of casement and awning windows, while fixed picture window features a slim profile that is usually combined with horizontal slider windows and vertical hung windows. Fixed picture windows are also used to bend or cut them into various shapes, including arches, circles, ovals and other geometric shapes.
Because fixed windows have no operable sash, they are very energy efficient. Our fixed windows meet and exceed Canadian EnergyStar® specifications and qualify for Canada Greener Homes Grant.
Energy Saving Characteristics
- Multi-chamber fusion welded PVC frame for better insulation
- Triple weather strip PVC welded sash
- 100% Virgin PVC extruded profiles provide many years of trouble free performance
- Double Glass Double Glass2 panes of glass separated by a spacer, filled with argon gas and hermetically sealed for optimal in energy savings.or Triple GlassTriple Glass3 panes of glass separated by spacers, creating 2 air chambers, filled with argon gas and hermetically sealed for maximum energy saving and sound insulation. with LowE coatingLowE GlassLow-E or low-emissivity coatings minimize the amount of UV & infrared light that can pass through glass without compromising the amount of visible light that is transmitted. When heat or light energy is absorbed by glass, it is either shifted away by moving air or re-radiated by the glass surface. and standard Argon GasArgon GasArgon gas does not conduct heat as well as air making it an excellent insulator. Argon Gas filled windows also prevent a buildup of frost at the bottom of the window during cold weather with Super Spacer®Super SpacerSuper Spacer is a non-metal, structural foam spacer system, providing the best perimeter insulation for sealed glass units
